Architectural monument becomes a modern gallery hall
In the historic halls of the former machine factory (built in 1865) of Vulkan AG (formerly Kertscher & Benndorf), a monument to industrial culture, a new creative space is being created. Once the centre of industrial production, where machines weighing several tonnes were manufactured – today a space for presentation and creative exchange. A lively place in the heart of Chemnitz for the city of tomorrow.
